The Parenting Education Center “Kanaf,” in collaboration with the Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center “Aman,” organized an awareness workshop entitled “Responsible Parenting: The Key to Digital Safety” on Monday, August 17, 2026, targeting employees of the Ministry of Labour. The workshop was held as part of joint efforts to promote awareness of responsible parenting and protect children from risks associated with the digital world.

The workshop focused on the family’s responsibility in monitoring children’s use of technology and highlighted the importance of parents’ mindful involvement in guiding children toward safe and balanced use of digital devices and platforms. It also emphasized the importance of strengthening family communication and dedicating quality time to children.

The workshop also addressed the importance of understanding children and their developmental needs, as well as building a safe and supportive relationship with them. Such an approach contributes to fostering children’s sense of security and confidence while supporting their protection from the risks and challenges they may encounter in the digital environment.

The workshop forms part of the efforts of the Parenting Education Center “Kanaf,” one of the centers operating under Qatar Social Work, to promote awareness of positive parenting practices and empower families to address contemporary parenting challenges with greater awareness. These efforts contribute to creating a safe and supportive family environment that fosters children’s development and protects them from potential risks.
